Who we are
Rampfinity is 1000488533 Ontario Ltd., carrying on business as Rampfinity, a web design and search visibility business based in Toronto, Ontario and Tacoma, Washington, working with businesses across the United States and Canada. We build websites for small and growing businesses and help them get found in search engines and AI assistants.
This policy explains what we do with personal information when you visit rampfinity.com, get in touch with us, or become a client. If we build or look after a website for you, personal information collected through your website is handled as set out in our Service Agreement: your business decides what it collects, and we access it only to host, maintain and support the site.
What we collect
The short version: we collect what you send us through our quote form, by email or on a call, a mobile number only if you give it to us, and — if you become a client — your project and billing records. We don't require an account, we don't run advertising trackers, and we never sell your information to anyone.
Information you give us
If you fill in the quote form on our website, we receive:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your business name and what your business does
- Your current website address, if you enter one
- Whatever you write in the message field
If we speak by phone, we keep your name, your business name and phone number, notes from the conversation, any request not to be called, and whether you've agreed to receive text messages from us.
If you email us or become a client, we keep the correspondence and the project information you send us, such as photos, text and logins you choose to share. For clients we also keep the invoice or order, the version of our Service Agreement you accepted, and the payment record that shows you accepted it.
Business contact details
When we contact a business first, we use contact details the business has published itself, such as the phone number on its website or Google Business Profile.
Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when a page is served — IP address, browser type, and which page was requested. This is used to keep the site running and secure, not to build a profile of you.
We do not run website analytics on this site. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no remarketing tag and no session recording. If we add an analytics tool in future, we will name it in this policy before it goes live.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever.
- We don't take payment details through this website. Invoices are paid on Stripe's own payment page.
- We don't run advertising trackers or build advertising profiles.
- We don't send marketing emails to people who haven't asked for them.
- We don't send text messages to anyone who hasn't agreed to receive them. We don't cold text.
- We don't call anyone who has asked us not to.
- We don't ask for, or want, sensitive personal information — health, financial or otherwise. Please don't send it to us through the form.
Phone calls
We call businesses in the United States and Canada to introduce our services, usually on the business phone number they publish themselves. When we call, we tell you who we are and why we're calling, and we call only during the hours Canadian and US rules allow in your local time.
Don't want us to call? Tell us on the call, email kat@rampfinity.com, or reply STOP to any text from us. Your number goes on our internal do-not-call list and we stop calling it within 10 business days at most, usually straight away. We keep it on that list for at least five years so it isn't called again.
Where the law requires it, we check numbers against the Canadian National Do Not Call List and the US National Do Not Call Registry before calling.
Text messages (SMS)
We only text people who have agreed to receive texts from us. We do not send cold or unsolicited text messages. Calling a business does not mean we will text it.
How you opt in
We send text messages only after you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts from Rampfinity. You can agree by telling us on a call that it's fine to text you, by texting us first, in writing, or — if you're a client — by giving us a mobile number as a contact for your project. We record when and how you agreed.
What we send
If you opt in, we may text you about information you asked for, website previews, our services, pricing we discussed with you, scheduling, customer support, and follow-up related to your conversation with Rampfinity. We use your number only for the purposes you agreed to.
How often
Message frequency varies with your interactions with us. Typically you'd receive one to three follow-up messages, with more only as part of an ongoing conversation you're having with us. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. We'll send one message confirming you've been unsubscribed, then nothing further. You can also opt out by telling us on a call or by email. For help, reply HELP or email kat@rampfinity.com.
Your mobile information is not shared
We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only company that handles your number for texting is the messaging provider that delivers our messages, and it may not use it for anything else. None of the sharing described elsewhere in this policy includes SMS opt-in data or consent.
Why we use your information
We use what you send us to:
- Reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- Deliver the work if you decide to go ahead
- Keep in touch about a project that's underway
- Call you, and text you if you've agreed to it, about your enquiry or project
- Keep our own records, including for tax and accounting purposes
Under Canadian privacy law our basis for this is your consent — you chose to contact us — and our legitimate interest in running the business and responding to enquiries.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become projects are kept for up to two years, in case you come back to us, then deleted.
Client records are kept for as long as we're working together and for seven years afterwards, which is the period Canadian tax rules expect business records to be retained.
Do-not-call requests, SMS opt-outs and records of SMS consent are kept for at least five years, so that we keep honouring them and can show when you agreed or opted out.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless we're legally required to keep it.
Who we share it with
We don't share your information with anyone except the service providers we need to run the business. Each of these only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., United States) — hosts and delivers this website. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to serve and secure the site.
- Web3Forms (United States) — receives what you type into a form on this site and emails it to us. It processes the submission in transit; we do not keep an account record of it there.
- Google Workspace — our business email, where your message arrives and is stored.
- Stripe (Stripe, Inc., United States) — processes invoice payments. You enter card or bank details on Stripe's own page; we never see or store your full card number.
- Providers we set up for your website — if you're a client, the hosting provider (Cloudflare or Netlify), domain registrar and form service we set up for your site receive the account details they need, such as your name and business email. The hosting and form accounts are in your name and governed by each provider's own terms and privacy policy. A domain we register for you under the Care Plan may be held in our registrar account until you ask us to transfer it, as set out in our Service Agreement.
- Our phone and text messaging provider — places our calls and delivers our text messages. It receives phone numbers and message content only to do that.
Nothing else on this site contacts a third party. Our typefaces are served from our own domain, so loading a page on rampfinity.com sends your details to no one but us.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. That means your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We choose established providers with recognised data protection practices.
We may also disclose information if we're legally required to — for example, in response to a valid legal order.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. Not for advertising, not for analytics, not for anything else. It also stores nothing in your browser's local storage. That is why you were not asked to accept anything when you arrived.
If we ever add something to this site that does set a cookie, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy before it goes live.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop using your information for a particular purpose
- Stop calling or texting you
- Send you a copy of what you gave us
Email kat@rampfinity.com and we'll deal with it within 30 days. There's no charge.
If you're not happy with how we've handled a privacy question, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you're in the UK or EU, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
How we protect it
Your information is held in business accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication. Our website is served over an encrypted connection, and the quote form is transmitted securely.
No system is perfectly secure, and we can't promise that nothing will ever go wrong. If a breach happens that puts you at real risk of harm, we'll tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Children
This website is for businesses. It isn't aimed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects existing clients, we'll tell them directly.
